Good morning everyone, and happy Monday!
Forecast
What a rainy pattern we have settled into! Today you can expect more of the same, with widespread rain and thunderstorms throughout most of the day. Remember, with the potential for locally heavy rain, be careful traveling and stay aware of the current weather conditions. As a result of the rain, temperatures will not climb that much, topping out in the mid 70’s today. Later this evening and overnight, we do get a chance to dry out a bit before our next rain chance tomorrow, with overnight lows in the upper 60’s. A drier and slightly cooler pattern is expected to set in later this week, so stay tuned for that!
Weather Fact!
On this day in weather history in 1811, the first documented U.S. tornado to take more than ten lives was recorded. This tornado took place in Charleston, SC, and was the result of a hurricane landfall in the area. (NWS)
Stay dry out there, folks!
