Hello, hope everyone is having a good day.
It looks like tomorrow is going to start off as a nice day in the morning, but as we head into the afternoon things are going to start to go down hill with a cold front that will impact the area tomorrow evening. This will trigger the development of some thunderstorms, some of these thunderstorms could be severe. The primary threat associated with any of these storms is a damaging wind threat. There is a tornado risk for areas south of the Kentucky Tennessee border but the ingredients for tornadoes in Bowling Green will be significantly less, but a a brief spin up or two is possible given strong levels of Shear.
My Forecast for Thursday (2/17)
Tomorrow highs will climb into the mid to upper 60’s skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day with the chance of rain and storms increasing in the late afternoon. a few of these storms may be severe with a primary threat of damaging winds, but and isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. the best timing of these storms is anywhere between 5pm and 8pm. Now would be a good time to review those severe weather action plans and prepare incase severe weather occurs.
Stay safe out there and have a great day!
