Good afternoon everyone!
Stepping outside today is a treat! Temperatures are nice and cool out there for you today, not climbing out of the lower 60’s. Later this evening the lingering rain should clear out, allowing us to dry out overnight, and for the next few days. Overnight lows in the upper 40’s will have you waking up tomorrow craving a pumpkin spice latte! The weekend is shaping up to be a beautiful one, so go ahead and make those weekend plans!
On this date in 1989, Hurricane Hugo made landfall in the Carolinas as a Category 5 storm with winds up to 140 mph. Hugo caused $7 billion in damage in the United States, and the death toll was 76. (NWS)
Have a great rest of your week, and enjoy the cooler air!
