It has been a nice week, a bit warm, but nice none the less. That is all about to change with the approaching system that will impact the area tonight, cooling down the weekend ahead. Let’s have a look at our current conditions:
Low pressure system to our N has an extended cold front currently cutting south, across The Great Plains. Skies will remain clear for most of the day, with clouds intruding into the area later tonight. This will be the leading cloud deck ahead of the front that will bring a line of showers across the region. Nothing severe is expected, with only minor wind gusts and rain amounts up to .25″ possible. When the front passes, cold airĀ advection will bring back the cool spring temperatures, making this weekend GREAT!
For today, skies will remain clear with a high around the mid-80’s. Tonight, expect the rain to pass through with the cold front around midnight, with a low temperature around 50. Tomorrow, clouds will clear out early with sunny skies expected by the afternoon. Temperatures will take a plummet, with a high for Saturday and Sunday only expected to be 65, with lows right around the 40 degree mark. Get out and enjoy the beautiful weekend ahead!
