Temperatures on the rise this weekend

Today is the first day of May and with it a temporary relief from “April Showers”. Bowling Green is currently 64 degrees and sunny according to the Kentucky Mesonet. Current satellite shows clear skies across most of the state. We expect to reach a high of 70 today. We have had ample amount of sunshine this week with some brief scattered showers yesterday. This weekend will be similar with an upper-level ridge and surface high pressure system in place allowing for southerly flow and sunshine.
