Friday Forecast 11/4

Good morning, folks, and happy Friday!

Today’s Forecast

For today, you can expect a rather warm and sunny day, as high temperatures will top out in the low 80s. For tonight, clouds will build in as temperatures stay mild in the low 60s. Make some Friday plans as this may be one of the last warm Fridays we have!

What to Watch For

On Saturday, temperatures will just make it into the lower 70s as showers and thunderstorms build throughout the day. Additionally, winds will be high as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the day on Saturday. Expect sustained winds between 15-25mph and gusts up around 40mph. Conditions will dry up Saturday night into Sunday, as temperatures recover into the mid 70s with mostly sunny skies and decreased wind.

Weather Fact!

On this date in 1959, there was a rare tornado in Alaska. According to the National Weather Service, “A small F0 tornado caused minor damage near Cape St. Elias Light Station on Kayak Island”. That’s something that doesn’t happen very often!

Have a great weekend everyone 🙂
