Forecast for Wednesday (10/28) and Thursday (10/29)

Wednesday Forecast

Good morning, all! I hope everyone has had a good week up to this point. I am sure everyone is getting excited for Halloween, time change, and the 1st of November all coming in one weekend. For the next couple of days, we are going to see much of the same that we have been seeing for the last week or so. Our high today in Bowling Green will reach 77°F, and the low tonight will fall to 56°F. We will see much of the same across the rest of the region, with mid to upper 70s for the highs, and mid 50s for the lows throughout much of the Midsouth.

In terms of precipitation, we are going to continue our dry stretch of weather for today, and tomorrow as well. This lack rain is being driven currently by a synoptic ridging pattern across much of the southeastern portion of the country. Associated with this ridging, is a 1034 mb surface high centered (at the time of writing this) just north of the US-Canadian border of Vermont and Quebec. Winds today will blow mainly south, and southeasterly at 3 mph, so there is not much to see there either.

Thursday Forecast

For your Thursday, we pick up exactly where we will leave off today. The high in Bowling Green tomorrow will be 76°F, and the low will be 59°F. For the rest of the region, general mid to upper 70s highs and mid 50s to low 60s lows are expected.

Once again, precipitation is not a threat at all for your Thursday. Our high pressure holds strong throughout the day on Thursday. Winds could increase later tomorrow morning and into the early afternoon in the northern part of the region. A low-pressure system is going to make its way across central, and eventually into eastern Canada. That, along with our high pressure over the region, would create a tighter pressure gradient, and increase winds just a bit across portions of the Midwest, and Midsouth. But I would not expect any sustained winds greater than 10 mph.

Other than that, there is not a whole lot happening across the US, so that will be all for the next few days. Have a great couple of days everyone and continue to enjoy this wonderful weather.
