Happy Friday y’all, we made it to the weekend. Cloudy skies today as sit under a ridge with southernly winds and a mid latitude cyclone to our west. Storms today near the Kansas and Missouri area as they sit under a divergence pattern at the 250mb height. As well as high vorticity at 700mb while the trough is over the area. However, the system overall is dying, and we likely won’t see thunderstorms here because the system will weaken and the rain won’t propagate to us. The mid-latitude cyclone will also move to the northeast and will have a less likely chance to receive rain. Temperatures today will only reach up to 60 as the cloud cover will limit our diurnal heating, and the low will be 35 tonight as we are issued a frost warning lasting until Saturday morning.
Frost advisory could likely continue through the weekend due to clear skies staying in the area. The low for Saturday could reach as low as 30 and the high only getting up to 57. Sunday will during the day will take advantage of the clear skies and warm up to 61 degrees as the high, and the low will be 34. We will continue to be under at ridge at most levels of the atmosphere, thus why we are expected clear skies for the next couple of days. Cold front that MLCs will reach us on Saturday and will impact how it will feel outside.
Stay safe and stay warm this weekend y’all!
