forecast 4/26 to 4/28

Highlights
– clouds and light rain linger today
– another batch of showers likely Tuesday but sunny Wednesday

Forecast
Low pressure has been over the region will slowly exit but clouds and
light rain will linger today with a nw flow highs will struggle to make
60. On Tuesday an upper level disturbance will dive southeast during
the day creating the likelihood for showers and some rumbles of
thunder, no Strong to severe storms are expected once again due to
clouds and rain highs will be in the low 60’s. By Wednesday clouds will
clear as the upper level system departs leading to a mostly sunny day
with highs in the upper 60’s.

I’ll be back in a few days with an update on later this week and this weekend, it looks like another active period is possible. One of the computer models the gfs is suggesting the potential for extreme instability Saturday with LI values approaching -8 on Sunday’s 12z run and -5 on the 00z run today. If this pans out another severe event would be likely but forecast uncertainity past day 3 for severe weather is much greater than a normal forecast.
