Mason’s Monday Outlook 2/28

Good morning, folks, and happy Monday!

Today’s Forecast

Are you waking up with a case of the Monday blues this morning? I’ve got a Monday forecast that is sure to ail them! For today, expect abundant sunshine throughout the day, with high temperatures topping out in the mid-to-upper 50s. For tonight, skies will remain clear and allow temperatures to drop down into the lower 30s.

What to Watch For

More good news in store for the forecast for the rest of the week, as relatively warm and tranquil weather will dominate our region. In a well-deserved opportunity to dry out after last week’s soaking rains, there are currently no major rain chances in this week’s forecast. High temperatures will gradually increase towards the end of the week, as mid-to-upper 60s will dominate the latter half of the week. Get out there and enjoy the beautiful (almost) spring air! What a way to start off March!

Weather Fact!

While there will be no leap day (2/29) this year, and not until 2024, let’s still take a look at some weather history for the date here in Bowling Green, courtesy of NWS Louisville:

Warmest Temperature: 77° in 1972

Coldest Temperature: 8° in 1884

Wettest: 0.51” in 1896

Snowiest: 3.0” in 1920

Have a nice week everyone, see you in March 🙂
