Forecast for Wednesday (10/14) and Thursday (10/15)

Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone! I hope that everyone is having a great week. We’re getting over that midweek hump, and it looks like we will have some changes to look ahead to over these next few days. Starting off, temperature wise here in Bowling Green, we will see much of the same. Highs today in BG will peak at 88°F, and low will be 68°F, which will likely be around the time that this is posted. Tonight, temperatures will reach 72°F for your evening. Across the rest of the Midsouth, highs will reach the mid to upper 80s. Some areas in the far southeastern portions of the region could even make a run at 90°F. Dewpoints across the regions will begin the day in the mid 60s in the west and increase with dewpoints across the western and central areas of the region reaching 70° dewpoints before the days end.

As mentioned, we could be looking at some changes over the next several days. The first of those changes coming later today. Rain chances look to be on the table later this afternoon. A system has been making is way across the plains and is now bringing some changes to our forecast. As the system moves closer to us, the ones well put together line of rain and storms is going to break apart. Many parts of the Midsouth will likely see rain, with more in the western part of the region, but the storms will continue eastward, bringing much needed rain and storms. The timing looks best in the early afternoon hours.

Thursday Forecast

Looking ahead to your Thursday, in Bowling Green, we are looking at a high of 85°F, and a low of 70°F. For the rest of the regain, we can expect highs in the mid to upper 80s, some local 90s are possible. Our lows for the Midsouth will dip into the mid and even low 60s. This will be later tomorrow night. It is also the sign of our cold front moving into the region. Some spotty showers are possible once again tomorrow, but nothing widespread is expected.

This is where we will really begin to see a fall like feel come into the mix, at least for a few days. The low from the system that will bring us some rain today, will move north of us, across central Illinois, and Indiana. This is being pushed on by a strong high-pressure system that is going to make its way in the country, bringing cooler, and much dryer air behind it. So be on the lookout for that near the end of this week, and into our weekend.

That is all for the next few days. Have a great couple of days everyone!
