1. For this afternoon a dry slot in behind the main rain band will move into the region allowing for a decrease in showers and storms this afternoon. Highs should be in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s across the region with winds shifting from south ahead of the front to northwest behind the front later tonight. Strong line of storms have developed ahead of the cold front and has put the far west counties of south central Kentucky under a TORNADO WATCH through this evening.
Expecting strong winds and heavy downpours with this system. Be sure to stay updated for the threat of severe weather will be on the rise through the night. Another round is expected tomorrow, however, the storms are not expected to be as strong. Here is a look at the current watches issued across the US.
Cold front passed early this morning with a high pressure center swinging in right behind it. Today has been a beautiful day and tomorrow should begin in the same fashion.
