Friday Forecast

Good morning, folks, and happy Friday! I am happy to be back for another year of writing for the blog. Let’s get right into the forecast:

Today’s Forecast

Today promises to be a bit warmer than the past couple days, with highs climbing into the upper 80s. Along with the warmth, there will be abundant sunshine. This evening and overnight, look for clouds to build as rain chances increase overnight into tomorrow morning. Lows will be in the upper 60s.

What to Watch For

Expect rain chances to persist throughout the entire weekend. While it will not be a washout, showers on Saturday turn to storm chances on Sunday. Rainfall will be under an inch, but look for some thunderstorms to produce heavier rainfall totals. We begin to dry things out at the start of next week with nicer temperatures, as highs early next week will be in the upper 70s.

Weather Fact!

On this day over 200 years ago, in 1821, the worst tornado outbreak in New England history struck (National Weather Service). Five tornadoes can be confirmed from the event, spanning three states: Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. This event is particularly uncommon, but not impossible, for this region of the country.

Have a great weekend everyone 🙂
