Forecast for Wednesday (10/21) and Thursday (10/22)

Wednesday Forecast

Good morning! I hope everyone has had a great week up to this point. For your Wednesday, it looks like another beautiful day across the midsouth. In Bowling Green today, the high will be 74°F, and our low tonight will be 55°F. Across the region, highs will reach the low to mid 70s, and lows will dip into the mid 50s. We can expect NE winds today at around 5 mph.

This stretch of incredible weather is caused by a 1032 mb high pressure system spinning across eastern Canada, pushing the dryer, cooler air into our neck of the woods, and I don’t think too many people are complaining about it. This high will also hold off rain chances throughout tomorrow, and likely for your Thursday as well.

Thursday Forecast

Speaking of Thursday, it looks just about the same. Here in Bowling Green, our high on Thursday will be 73°F, and our low will be 56°F. Regionally, highs on Thursday will be in the lower 70s, with some areas farthest west seeing the 80s. Lows will reach the mid to upper 50s across most of the Midsouth. Winds tomorrow will be N at around 6 mph. Once again, thanks to our high-pressure system covering much of this portion of the country, precipitation will stay away again for tomorrow, giving us another clear, cooler fall day.

National Weather Headlines

There is not a whole lot of news happening across the US in the weather world. However, over the weekend, Lake Michigan saw nearly 20 ft waves across the lake, all brought on by winds from a strong low-pressure system moving north of the region. Also, the east coast was just affected by a nor’easter moving up the coastline and is now currently heading out to sea.

That is all for the next few days, hope everyone has a great Wednesday, and Thursday!
